Cost can vary depending on your insurance coverage, the type of orthodontic treatment, and whether you need limited or comprehensive care. To help you plan ahead, we’ll check your insurance benefits before your visit. If you’re self-paying, we’ll review your treatment options and provide a clear estimate during your consultation—so there are no surprises when it’s time to start.
Treatment time varies but typically lasts 12-24 months for traditional braces and 9 months for aligners, depending on the complexity of the case.
Yes — we offer flexible financing options, including third-party financing provider, to make orthodontic care more affordable and manageable within your budget.
Absolutely—virtual consultations are available so you can discuss your needs and treatment options before visiting in person.
At your first visit, we’ll talk about your smile goals and see if orthodontics are right for you. You can also expect upfront pricing so you know what to expect from the start. No pressure, just the info we need to design your best smile.
A records appointment means we’ll take photos, X-rays, and a 3D scan of your teeth. These records help us create a custom treatment plan just for you. There’s no commitment yet—just gathering everything we need to design your future smile.
Out-of-network means your dentist doesn’t have a set payment deal with your insurance company. You can still go to them, but your insurance might cover less of the cost, so you’ll pay more than you would with an in-network dentist. Sometimes, depending on your plan, your insurance may not pay anything — in that case, you would pay the full amount yourself.
Prevent or Improve Periodontal Problems
If your teeth are within the bone of your jaw, you experience less recession and gingival inflammation by making it easier to not trap food and floss your teeth.
Preventing or Reducing Further Bone Loss
Your teeth are surrounded by what is called the “Bony Envelope” and if the shift too far forward or behind you will have bone loss.
Improving the ability to restore your missing teeth
Make space for future implants or cosmetic work is key to your orthodontic care.
Esthetic Improvement for a Better Smile and Facial Appearance
A more natural profile by getting rid of your overbite or underbite can not only improve your esthetics, but make for a more stable bite.
Improvement of Your Teeth’s Function
By improving the setup of your teeth and your bite, orthodontic care encourages all of your teeth to play their part, so no particular tooth is put under too much stress.
Improvement of Your Self-Confidence
Studies have shown that an improved smile improves your self-confidence, as it is one of the first thing everyone notices when they meet you.
Improvement of Your Oral Health
Straight teeth and a beautiful smile is something that will make you brush and floss every day in order to maintain and something you can be proud of.
Clear trays are removable and great for mild to moderate corrections. Traditional braces are fixed and ideal for more complex cases.
Yes! Orthodontics isn’t just for kids—we offer both braces and clear aligners for adults.
Phase 1 braces focus on early jaw development and alignment for children, setting the stage for a healthier smile later on.
It’s a program that ensures you’ll always have replacement retainers, even years after your treatment, for a one-time enrollment fee.
Orthodontic visits are typically scheduled every 4-8 weeks.
Consider an early orthodontic evaluation if your child shows:
● Crowded or gapped teeth
● Misaligned bites (overbite, underbite, crossbite)
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first evaluation by age 7 to address developing issues early.
Definitely! We recommend kids have their first orthodontic evaluation around age 7.
For best results, aligners should be worn 20-22 hours a day, only removing them for eating and brushing.
We offer a variety tailored to your needs:
● Traditional metal braces
● Self-ligating braces for fewer adjustments and potentially faster treatment
No — we don’t recommend braces on only the upper or lower teeth. Orthodontic treatment works best when both arches are treated together to ensure your bite fits correctly. Treating just one arch can lead to bite problems, uneven wear, or jaw discomfort.
Orthodontic retainers come in a few different styles, but they are generally thin, custom-made devices designed to keep your teeth in their new, straight position after braces or clear aligners. Here are the most common types:
Clear Retainers (Essix Retainers) – These look similar to clear aligners (like Invisalign) and are made of transparent plastic that fits snugly over your teeth. They are discreet and nearly invisible when worn.
Hawley Retainers – These have a thin acrylic piece that sits on the roof of your mouth (or behind your lower teeth) with a metal wire that wraps around the front teeth. They are durable and adjustable.
Fixed (Permanent) Retainers – These are thin metal wires bonded to the back of your front teeth. They are not visible and stay in place long-term to prevent teeth from shifting.
Yes. However, it is recommended that patients protect their smiles by wearing a mouth guard when participating in any sporting activity. Mouth guards are inexpensive and usually comfortable. A "boil and bite" mouth guard is not recommended for orthodontic patients.
No. However, there may be an initial period of adjustment. For additional comfort, brace covers are available to prevent discomfort.
